The beginning of the year sparks a new season of creativity and change. So many resolutions and goals being set. For Shalena Smith Interiors it’s a time when many people are calling us to set design goals, plans and budgets for their projects. They’ve decided to get serious, stop wasting time and money, and hire us to bring to life the vision they’ve had for their home for some time now.
With stay-at-home orders still in place and the pandemic continuing into the new year, paint is an easy and inexpensive way to brighten up and change the look of your space. Myself included, is in need of a makeover. Our kitchen cabinets are well over due for refinishing and our family room is a dated color as well. I, like many of you, have spent so much time at home. As I type this, I’m looking at my walls and cabinets and they are screaming at me, “HELP!!!” They are in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint, a bright white to open the space, so I can breathe!! 🙂
Let’s brighten up your space!! Our clients schedule paint consultation with us to find the perfect color for their home, but if you’re in search of the perfect white paint, look no more!! I thought I’d share with you my favorite white paints by Dunn Edwards. However, I highly recommend you purchase samples and try them on the walls in your space first. Colors can look different in your home depending on the lighting and other elements in the space.
In my case, I’m going to use Dunn Edwards Whisper on my kitchen cabinets and baseboards and Antique Paper on my walls. Milk Glass is another one of favorites, but I decided to stick with those two for this particular project. I previously used these colors in my living room, you can take a look here.
